The New Stretch Diner is a revival of the original Stretch Diner, renowned for years by Charlie and Natalie, who served Chester Village and beyond until 2021, when they sold their beloved establishment. From 2021 until June 2025, The Stretch Diner faced significant challenges, remaining largely dormant during that four-year period.
That's when entertainment producer, writer, and rock n' roller Todd decided it was time to "bring the old place back—with a bang!" In May 2025, Todd rolled up his sleeves and got to work, dedicating weeks to revitalize the once-thriving diner with a series of renovations, both inside and out. The goal? To offer a fresh, modern appearance while incorporating a charming 1950s aesthetic that promised to revive the diner not only through excellent food but also by creating a fun and engaging atmosphere.
It was a bold and risky move—transforming a defunct restaurant into something the Chester community had long missed since the days of Charlie and Natalie. And now, here we are—welcome to The New Stretch Diner!
